Re: Home & Away - How do you afford it?
ERN... I don't think anyone has ever had a pop at the away boys and girls.... nope... I can't think of a time... utmost respect big time... been there and done it in the past... away games almost cost me marriage as I was putting the games in front of a new born baby... my way of thinking is that it was no problem going the 2nd hand route (cot, pram etc) as long as I could go to the away games.... I don't look back with much pride but at that time it seemed a perfect sacrifice... I got away with it for 4 or 5 years... anyway... as I said... utmost respect as know what sacrifices are made by the away mob

Re: Home & Away - How do you afford it?
It's quite simple you make sacrifices, both financially and domestically, that's why it always riles me on here when some of the stayaways slag off those that make the long term commitment to go to games

Re: Home & Away - How do you afford it?
Selective away games, but since the change in the system I find it much harder to get tickets,

Re: Home & Away - How do you afford it?
Lily - I used to think that, Just been having a conversation on FB about when I went to Sheff Utd during the Tevez saga, I had the flu (Proper not man)
Shivered and sneezed all the way up there, I went with a WHO'er who I don't even remember (Sorry)
We lost 3-0

I also went to Charlton away, could hardly walk and was on crutches, we lost 4-0

I used to just enjoy UP, the banter, atmosphere, the walk up to the ground...now even if i'm offered a freebie I turn it down.

I went to Palermo on my tod, I knew people out there but none of my ST mates wanted to go.

Just to add, all that is completely regardless of bullshit like results.

Re: Home & Away - How do you afford it?
If I were a rich man, I would go every match, home and away. Lots of interesting stuff to do on the other days, but to be with the West Ham loyal is an underpriced drug.

Me too. New Zealand next week.

I go to the odd game, but begrudge giving these cunts any of my dough. Plus, I just don’t enjoy it like I used to.
